For some reason, hackers have taken great joy in constantly attacking our sites. Add to that, the fact that our security  was, I guess, not very good.

 Are You Losing money selling import products?

Action fees and related fees are a matter of business. But you can plan your projected profit.
I haven’t sold on eBay for a long long time sold some software i didn’t need. check the figures below.
$44.00 – final sold price
$-3.58 – eBay commission
$-1.58 – PayPal commission
$-2.97 – shipping costs
sold for only $44, I lost $8.13
$35.87 – net profit
PLEASE consider the information below.
( This may not be the actual net profit. They did not share with me how much the item cost, nor how much (if any) use they got out of it.
Had this person sold an item at a local auction in their area, they would have spent about 20% of the selling price as an auction fee.
Consider the fact that if a seller subtracts all of the expenses from the selling price they decrease the net profit.
Alternative to paying fees out of your pocket:
Set a price you will accept for your item.
Estimate the fees that will be charged. You can figure a low and also a best case price.
Add your estimated expenses to your lowest selling price.
Then add 12-15% Using this business method, it is very hard to lose money.
Using our method of cost analysis found in our starters guide book, you should have a very educated and calculated minimum net profit. Or if you can buy and sell while making a profit. It is really simple to come very close to knowing if you can make any money.

Homeland Security is now an important aspect when importing products. The ‘Customs Small Business Program’ is a great place to access important security issues when importing in www.cbp.gov
The US Customs Department has developed strict guidelines for importing products into the US. The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are now under the US Department of Homeland Security (www.dhs.gov). Increased domestic security has created new regulations for importing into the US. One of the new regulations is the 24 hour rule of the Automated Manifest System or AMS. This 24 Hour AMS rule requires presentation of the cargo declaration 24 hours before lading of the vessel. You must insist that foreign exporters adhere to US Department of Homeland Security regulations or you can find yourself with delays and troubles.
The Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) is now implementing the C-TPAT or Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. This partnership is between customs and industry leaders regarding strengthening supply chain security. Understanding US Customs regulations before you make importing arrangements will help map out the most expedient method for importing and distributing your merchandise once it arrives.

The Federal Maritime Commission at- www.fmc.gov and the International Trade Commission at the www.itc.gov and The United States Trade Representative at www.ustr.gov

I know nothing about how to raise chickens when I started
(9) nine years ago.

ducks and 14 farm cats

NOT BAD if i say so myself...considering I did not know

Auctions: Silent Personal Auctions

A quick pointer to help you sell the items your importing. Or you can use this silent auction to sell your personal stuff, while waiting for the shipment to come from overseas.

Why not have a silent and/or private auction for some of your excess
personal items. You could put together a package of
(5 -10) products and then let people e-mail in their offers.

Set date and a time that you will take bids until. Once
that date hits, whatever the highest offer is wins.

You can set a minimum bid or take your chances for your
products or you may actually get people fighting over them.

Make sure you update what the highest bid is at any given time.

This way people know what they e-mail you that they need to top this bid.

Worse case with this ide isd you gather a list of people you know are interested in your items. Then you can email them with other items, ebooks, etc., in the future.
